Are you making your first steps in the world of SEO? Have you just started to read about positioning and would like to optimize your website, but you do not know where to start? You don't have much time and you want to increase your search engine position? If you answered yes to at least one of those questions - we have gathered some essential info for you ! 😉
We give you 5 recommendations, the introduction of which is quite simple and should bring measurable effects in the form of increasing position and expanding visibility in the search engine.
For starters you should make a list of keywords relevant to your business. Consider the services and products you want to sell and where you want to promote yourself - locally or nationally. Based on this, make a list of phrases under which you want to be visible in the search engine. The Keyword Planner in Google Ads will be very helpful here. Paid Ahrefs tool can also be useful. You can find in them exactly what keywords your potential customers use and how many searches each month has. This will tell you which phrases you need to focus on in order to attract the most traffic to your site.
Choosing the right keywords is the foundation for further optimization, so it's worth spending time to choose them wisely.
We have noticed the first jumps in positions many times after the introduction of better title tags on the page, before the rest of the optimization. That's why we think title is the most important meta tag in terms of positioning. Place the most important key phrases for a given subpage in it. Title should be unique - and cannot be repeated on different subpages. By placing the title "Car Mechanic Katowice, car workshop" in the title, you care about the phrase "Car mechanic Katowice" and "Katowice car workshop". And these at the same time strengthen the phrases "Katowice Car mechanic" and "Katowice car workshop".
Remember to mainly focus on product and offer pages - those that are to bring conversions and salsubpage name - company name - the most important keywordes. Other subpages, e.g. "About the company", "Our specialists" may have a title with the structure:
e.g. "About the company - Workshop XYZ – Car Mechanic Katowice"
Headers play an important role in positioning. They give clear information - to both the reader and browser algorithms - about what a given piece of text will say. That is why they should be used the most! Three headline tips:
Each of the subpages can be effectively positioned on several keywords. Check if your website has the right architecture - there should be a separate subpage for each of the most important phrases (or groups of related phrases - e.g. "Car mechanic Katowice", "Car mechanic in Katowice"). It is extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) to position one subpage into a lot of diametrically opposed phrases.
By creating separate subpages for individual words, you get a lot of options: title, headers (including H1) and many paragraphs of content that you can saturate with keywords and phrases that support them. In addition, according to Google - you are expanding your site with valuable content and trying to exhaust the topic. And this increases the value of the entire site.
Jak poprawić pozycjonowanie w Google? Pisząc unikatowe treści. Jest to zadanie dość pracochłonne, jednak zdecydowanie się opłaca. Unikalny tekst o odpowiedniej długości, który nasyciłeś słowami kluczowymi sprawi, że zaczniesz pojawiać się na wiele nowych fraz oraz wzmocnisz dotychczasowe.
Bez tekstu na stronie skuteczne wypozycjonowanie jest niemożliwe.
How to improve Google positioning? Writing unique content. This is quite a laborious task, but it definitely pays off. The unique text of the right length, which you have saturated with keywords will make you start appearing on many new phrases and strengthen the existing ones.
Effective positioning is impossible without the text on the page.
Ordering on the site is very important. All indexed subpages should be valuable - both from the point of view of the user and Google. If they cause errors (e.g. 404), we recommend implementing 301 redirects or completely removing problematic subpages. If they are of little value (subpages of the media, tags, categories, authors, etc.) - i.e. they have no content at all, it is irrelevant to positioning or repeats with others - disable their indexing using:
<meta name = "robots" content = "noindex">
If you want a subpage to be indexed, because it is valuable to users, but most of its content is not unique - so it reduces the value of the site according to Google - you will need the rel = canonical tag.
If you want to position your site yourself - be patient. It takes time for the effects. Sometimes important phrases go up after the first optimization. But it also happens that only after many months over a specific keyword, it slowly begins to achieve satisfactory results. SEO for beginners may seem difficult, but a lot can be achieved with systematic work.
Do you want to know how to check your website positioning in Google? Basic tools are free - Google Analytics and Google Search Console. They will allow you to analyze organic traffic (quantity but also quality), check indexation errors and see what phrases your website is most often searched for and clicked on.

Remember - SEO is not a one-time optimization. It is based on a constant control of position and visibility, checking the validity of key phrases and taking appropriate steps depending on situation. Start with a thorough analysis of phrases and competition, perform a technical audit and required optimization. After that constant monitoring and response to changes await you.
